Let Her Cry
Daruis Rucker, Dean Felber, Mark Bryan, & Jim Sonefeld
Hootie and the Blowfish
Cracked Rear View
Even though Hootie's music got boring really fast, this is a good song
off the CRV album. This must have been one of the first songs I learned
during the summer of '95, because my girlfriend loved it so I wanted to
impress her. But here it is, and the solo is easy so figure it out if
you play electric.
She sits alone by a lamppost
Tryin' to find the thought that escaped her mind
She says "Dadís the one I love the most
But Stipeís not far behind"
She never lets me in only tells me where sheís been
When sheís had too much to drink
I say that I donít care
I just run my hands through her dark hair
And I pray to God "you gotta help me fly away"
And just let her cry
If the tears fall down like rain
Let her sing
Em G D
If it eases all her pain
Let her go
Let her walk right out on me
And if the sun comes up tomorrow
Let her be, let her be
This morning I woke up alone
Found a note standin' by the phone
Saying maybe Iíll be back some day
I wanted to look for you
You walked in I didnít know just what I should do
So I sat back down had a beer and felt sorry for myself
GUITAR SOLO (play verse chords)
Last night I tried to leave
Cried so much I just could not believe
She was the same girl I fell in love with long ago
She went in the back to get high
I sat down on my couch and cried, yelling
"Oh mama please help me
Wonít you hold my hand"
